Pilates Method as an Effective Exercise Regimen for Celebrities

We watch television, read magazines, and see how our favourite celebrities look good. We wonder how supermodel Miranda Kerr keeps her sexy body and Nicole Kidman maintains her stunning figure. We have to admit that celebrities have raised the status of the Pilates method as an effective exercise workout not just for them but for us as well.

In Sydney, Pilates classes have helped people lose weight and maintain their youthful figure. Celebrities have inspired us to work out, eat healthily, and be physically active. In fact, many of them have also worked hard to achieve their ideal body shape especially celebrity mothers like Sarah Michelle Gellar, Nicole Richie, and Gwyneth Paltrow.

In fact, most celebrities have long working hours from various engagements and so many of them take up some form of exercise programs to be in tip-top shape. When you read the magazine, you will always see pictures of celebrities like Miley Cyrus, Sienna Miller, Hillary Duff, and many of today’s young stars head to their favourite Pilates studio to work out so that they’ll lose weight and tone their bodies for photo shoots with their designer clothes and sexy bikinis.

Exercise routines would work effectively if you combined what you learn in Pilates class with a healthy lifestyle, good work ethic, and a stress-free environment. You don’t need a personal Pilates instructor like our favourite celebrities. All you have to do is follow their effective exercise regimen.

Angelina Jolie
One glaring example as to how effective the Pilates Method is the case of actress Angelina Jolie. Jolie, the glamorous wife of actor Brad Pitt, has successfully retained her sexy figure despite her movie projects, humanitarian missions, and mother to her extended brood that includes her children Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne together with her adopted children Maddox, Zahara, and Pax. She credited her pregnancy weight loss to a combination of healthy eating, breastfeeding, and Pilates class.

Michelle Obama
Who says that the First Lady doesn’t do the Pilates method? Michelle Obama varies her early morning workouts with Pilates, cardio, stretching, and weights. In fact, talking about their weight at the dinner table is a no-no in the Obama household. Mrs. Obama, who recently launched the Let’s Move Campaign in February 2010 to fight childhood obesity, says exercise is crucial for emotional health. She and President Barack Obama even encouraged White House senior staff members to make time for exercise.

Hugh Grant
Have you ever wonder how British actor Hugh Grant keeps his youthful image? Through the Pilates method, he said through an interview by Ellen DeGeneres that it helps counteract the signs of aging. He also stays in shape with regular exercise sessions in a Pilates class.

Shakira
Combine music with the Pilates method and you’ll get a flexible dance move. Take it from the Colombian sensation Shakira who incorporated dance, cardio, and new diet and workout trends to create an energetic performance on stage.

Celebrities are health and fitness role models for people who want to look good and get back in shape. Their success is an inspiration for us to develop our own effective exercise regimen with the Pilates method.
